My oldest is turning school age and that has me in tears...I know, I knew it was coming but where did the time go? While I am dreaming of the days when he was little and still thought taking a bath was fun and sang Thomas the train theme song. My creative mom skills came up with a way to turn ROBOTS into a party theme for a very excited soon to be birthday boy.
With the lengths each parents reaches for birthdays I thought I would share some great FREE printables and inspiration to keep the cost low but full of FUN!
Having thrown A LOT of parties, I know that kids really just want to play and share a treat. Anything more just adds to your stress level and adds $$$ more expense. Keep it simple! You DON'T need themed water bottle labels and pony rides to make every birthday magical.
Princess tea party: Have guest dress up in fancy hats or dresses and drink some great fruit juice as they munch on peanut butter jam tea sandwiches. Keep it low key by using letting them play dress up and finish up by eating around a table.
If you don't want to involve real food use felt food or play food. Check thrift stores or the dollar store for tea cups and a tea pot. *Most of your expense will be with food for this party
Robot:
This party I imagine simply creating paper bag robot costumes and then letting all the guest explore their inner robot. Sharing a favorite meal of the birthday child and blowing out the candles and eating the cake. So easy and simple plus the paper bags can be free if you just recycle some from a grocery store run and cutting out or finding gear dye cuts for them to glue on to their bag. Add some nuts and bolts or robot masks!
