Once upon a time theme....This was a great way to teach about stories, create puppet shows and make believe. Exploring castles, old ladies and their shoes houses, and the princesses with peas in their beds. Have fun with it...Three little kittens lost their mittens and we helped them hang them out to dry. Learning great fine motor skills while playing, is one of my goals during preschool. Developing our fine motor skills is a great way to involve the younger one into your preschool activities. Include all different types of learning styles and play. Sensory bin with a castle and a water moat. Or climb like jack up the bean stalk. Possibilities are endless. Creative free play by making a forest where all different magical creatures can come to play. With my older child I covered the processes of a story. Teaching how stories have a beginning, middle and an end. Then out came the blankets hung over the kitchen chairs and they put on a play with what they learned about stories.
